From there, I tried to repair / reinstall the initramfs, reinstall grub, fsck to the volumes. I booted with a centos installer cd to the rescue system and the volumes can mount with no issues. What does happen is that it freezes before even show the boot menu from GRUB. Change ddb.adapterType from IDE to lsilogicĪfter this, my expectation was that the system would boot.
